Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF ELDERLY KNOWLEDGE LEVEL ABOUT THE MANAGEMENT OF RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS IN THE WORK AREA OF PEKAUMAN PUSKESMAS BANJARMASIN YEAR 2022 Philemon1, Theresia Jamini2, Oktovin3 ABSTRACT Background: Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic autoimmune inflammatory disorder, which causes the destruction of the joints and synovial organs. Rheumatoid arthritis can cause pain and swelling that can last continuously, usually in the joints of the hands, elbows, feet and knees. Musculoskeletal changes can affect the physical condition of millions of people around the world. Rheumatoid arthritis often occurs in the elderly. One of the factors that influence the occurrence of rheumatoid arthritis is knowledge, knowledge or cognitive is a very important domain for the formation of one's actions. The elderly must know the management of rheumatoid arthritis because it will affect their quality of life. In the Working Area of the Pekauman Health Center Banjarmasin, knowledge of the elderly about the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis is still low. Objectives : This study aims to determine the Level of Knowledge of the Elderly about the Management of Rheumatoid Arthritis in the Work Area of the Pekauman Banjarmasin Health Center in 2022. Methods : This research uses a type of quantitative research using descriptive research. Sampling using purposive sampling technique, the number of respondents 30 elderly rheumatoid arthritis who met the criteria, data collection using data questionnaires was analyzed using frequency distribution. Results : The results of this study were as much as 50% in the less category, the sufficient category 26.7%, the good category, 23.3%. The Level of Knowledge of the Elderly About Rheumatoid Arthritis Management in the Work Area of the Pekauman Banjarmasin Health Center is mostly lacking. Conclusion : The discussion "An overview of the level of knowledge of the elderly about the management of rheumatoid arthritis in the work area of the Pekauman Banjarmasin Health Center 2022" can be concluded that the level of knowledge of the elderly about the management of rheumatoid arthritis in the Pekauman Health Center Work Area 2022 is partly in the category of less (50%).
