Abstract
PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN TENTANG BANTUAN HIDUP DASAR TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN KETERAMPILAN REMAJA DI SMA FRATER DON BOSCO BANJARMASIN Aprilia Ulan Dari1, Dyah Trifianingsih2, Oktovin3 Email : [email protected] INTISARI Latar Belakang : Henti jantung merupakan salah satu kondisi kegawatdaruratan dengan angka kejadian tinggi namun angka keselamatan rendah. Pertolongan pertama pada kondisi ini yaitu bantuan hidup dasar (BHD) yang harus dilakukan dengan cepat dan tepat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penolong dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang baik untuk melakukan BHD. Para remaja di SMA Frater Don Bosco diketahui memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan kurang mengenai BHD, sehingga diperlukan upaya untuk mengatasinya, salah satunya melalui pendidikan kesehatan. Tujuan : Mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan tentang BHD terhadap pengetahuan dan keterampilan pada remaja di SMA Frater Don Bosco Banjarmasin. Metode : Metode kuantitatif desain Pre-eksperimental dengan pendekatan one group pretest-posttest. Populasi berjumlah 465 orang dan sampel berjumlah 18 orang yang didapatkan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data pengetahuan menggunakan kuisioner dan dianalisis menggunakan paired sample t-test, sedangkan pengambilan data keterampilan menggunakan lembar observasi dan dianalisis menggunakan wilcoxon signed rank test. Hasil : Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dari mayoritas kurang (66,7%) menjadi mayoritas baik (88,9%) dan peningkatan keterampilan dari mayoritas tidak terampil (100%) menjadi mayoritas terampil (55,6%). Ada perbedaan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang BHD antara sebelum dan sesudah pendidikan kesehatan dengan hasil p-value yang sama antara pengetahuan dan keterampilan yaitu 0,000<0,05. Kesimpulan : Pendidikan kesehatan dengan metode ceramah dan metode demonstrasi tentang BHD berpengaruh terhadap pengetahuan dan keterampilan remaja di SMA Frater Don Bosco Banjarmasin. The first aid in this condition is basic life support (BLS) which must be done quickly and accurately. Therefore, helpers with good knowledge and skills are needed to perform BLS. Adolescences at Frater Don Bosco High School are known to lack knowledge and skills regarding BLS, so countermeasures are needed to overcome this, one of which is through health education. Purpose : To determine the effect of health education on BLS towards the knowledge and skills of adolescents at Frater Don Bosco High School. Method : Quantitative method with Pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest approach. The population was 465 people and the sample amounted to 18 people obtained by purposive sampling technique. Data collection of knowledge are beeing done using questionnaires and analyzed using paired sample t-test, while data collection of skills are beeing done using observation sheets and analyzed using Wilcoxon signed rank test. Results : There was an increase in knowledge from a majority of less (66.7%) to a majority of good (88.9%) and an increase in skills from a majority of unskilled (100%) to a majority of skilled (55.6%). There are differences in knowledge and skills about BHD between before and after health education with the same p-value results between knowledge and skills, namely 0.000 <0.05. Conclusion : Health education with lecture method and demonstration method about BLS affects the knowledge and skills of adolescents at Frater Don Bosco High School Banjarmasin.
