Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF NURSE'S HANDWASHING COMPLIANCE IN HOSPITAL MUARA TEWEH YEAR 2023 John Fredy', Warjiman, Lucia Andi Chrismilasari' ABSTRACK Background: Compliance with handwashing by nurses before and after carrying out nursing actions is a very important component to prevent nosocomial infections and improve patient safety and reduce the length of stay. In washing hands, nurses can be guided by the SPO (Standard Operational Procedure) of Muara Teweh Hospital regarding Steps to Wash Hands and apply when to wash hands (Five Moment). From the observations of 30 nurses, it was found that 8 people were still not compliant in washing their hands properly, while all had received hand washing training and socialization of the SOP for hand washing at Muara Teweh Hospital from the PPI Committee (Infection Prevention and Control). Research Objectives: To find out the description of nurses' handwashing compliance at Muara Teweh Hospital in 2023. Research Methods: Quantitative descriptive research with an observational method or approach. Total population of 111 respondents. The sample was taken using purposive sampling. In addition to determining the distribution of the sample so that the population could be represented, it was divided proportionally in each room so that the number of respondents had the same opportunity, namely using the cluster sampling formula. The number of samples is 30 respondents representing each treatment room. The research instrument adopted the SPO of hand washing at Muara Teweh Hospital and five moments of hand washing. Data analysis uses frequency distribution tables. Results: The majority of inpatient nurses were in the obedient category in carrying out hand washing, namely 22 respondents (73.33%) and as many as 8 respondents (26.67%) did not comply with hand washing out of a total of 30 inpatient nurses at Muara Teweh Hospital. . Conclusion: Nurse compliance with hand washing and five moments in the inpatient room of Muara Teweh Hospital in 2023 is 73.33% of 30 respondents. Suggestions for Hospitals through the PPI Committee need to carry out regular outreach and training to all nurses related to hand washing compliance with five moments in the inpatient room of Muara Teweh Hospital. Dalam mencuci tangan perawat dapat berpedoman pada SPO (Standar Prosedur Operasional) RSUD Muara Teweh tentang Langkah Cuci Tangan dan menerapkan kapan cuci tangan harus dilakukan (Five Moment). Dari hasil observasi kepada 30 orang perawat didapatkan 8 orang rnasih belurn patuh dalam melakukan cuci tangan dengan baik, sedangkan semua sudah mendapatkan pelatihan cuci tangan dan sosialisasi SPO cuci tangan RSUD Muara Teweh dari Komite PPI (Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Infeksi).. Tujuan Penelitian : Mengetahui garnbaran kepatuhan cuci tangan perawat di RSUD Muara Teweh tahun 2023. Metode Penelitian : Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan rnetode atau pendekatan observasional. Jumlah populasi sebanyak 111 responden. Sarnpel diarnbil rnenggunakan sampling purposive, Selain itu penentuan pernbagian sarnpel agar populasi dapat terwakili dilakukan pernbagian secara proposional pada setiap ruangan agar jurnlah responden rnerniliki peluang yang sarna yaitu rnenggunakan rurnus cluster sampling. Jurnlah sarnpel 30 responden rnewakili setiap ruangan perawatan. Instrurnen penelitian rnengadopsi SPO cuci tangan RSUD Muara Teweh dan lima momen cuci tangan. Analisa data rnenggunakan tabel distribusi frekuensi. Hasil Penelitian : Mayoritas perawat rawat inap dalarn kategori patuh dalarn rnelaksanakan cuci tangan yaitu 22 responden (73,33%) dan sebanyak 8 responden (26,67%) tidak patuh rnelakukan cuci tangan dari jurnlah total 30 perawat rawat inap di RSUD Muara Teweh.. Kesimpulan : Kepatuhan Perawat terhadap pelaksanaan cuci tangan dan lima momen di ruang rawat inap RSUD Muara Teweh tahun 2023 yaitu sebanyak 73,33% dari 30 responden. Saran untuk Rurnah Sakit melalui Komite PPI perlu rnelakukan sosialisasi dan pelatihan secara berkala kepada seluruh perawat yang berkaitan dengan kepatuhan cuci tangan dengan lima momen di ruang rawat inap RSUD Muara Teweh..
