Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF SIX CORRECT PRINCIPLE APPLICATION ON ADMINISTRATION OF ORAL MEDICINE, INTRAVENOUS INJECTION AND NEBULIZATION AT MUARA TEWEH HOSPITAL IN 2023 Eriana Noveria Bulid 1, Septi Machelia 2, Lucia Andi Chrismilasari 3 ABSTRACT Background: One of the authorities of nurses in carried out their duties as providers of nursing care in the field of individual health efforts was to administer drug administration to clients, but in practice there are often medication errors. Medication errors could occur at the prescribed, dispensed and drug administration stages. The way to prevent medication errors was by applying the 6 principles of correct medication administration, which include the right patient, the right drug, the right dose, the right time, the right to prevent and the right documentation. Objective: This study aims to determine the description of nurses in applied the six right principles of drug administration at Muara Teweh Hospital. Methods: This study used descriptive research with a quantitative observational approach using observation sheets for drug administration. The sample in this study was 30 nurses who were selected using the Simple Random Sampling technique. And the analysis of this study uses the frequency distribution Results: Based on the results of a study describing the administration of six correct drugs from 30 respondents conducted at Muara Teweh Hospital in May 2023, it could be concluded that the results of compliance with the principle of administered 6 correct drugs were 17 (56,7%) nurses who were non-compliant and 13 (43,3%) nurses who adhered. The majority of nurse non-adherence is on the Right Time step. Conclusion: The level of obedience of nurses at Muara Teweh Hospital regarded the application of the 6 right principles in administering drugs was the majority non- compliant. Keywords: six correct of medication, a medication error 1 The student of the nursing program Suaka Insan school of health sciences higher education 2 The lecture of the nursing program Suaka Insan school of health sciences higher education 3 The lecture of the nursing program Suaka Insan school of health sciences higher education GAMBARAN PENERAPAN PRINSIP 6 BENAR PEMBERIAN OBAT ORAL, INJEKSI INTRAVENA DAN NEBULASI DI RSUD MUARA TEWEH TAHUN 2023 Eriana Noveria Bulid 1, Septi Machelia 2, Lucia Andi Chrismilasari 3 ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Salah satu kewenangan perawat dalam menjalankan tugas sebagai pemberi asuhan keperawatan dibidang upaya kesehatan perorangan adalah melakukan penatalaksanaan pemberian obat kepada klien, tapi didalam pelaksanaanya sering sekali dijumpai adanya kesalahan pengobatan. Medication error dapat terjadi pada tahap prescribing (peresepan), dispensing (penyiapan) dan drug administration. Adapun cara yang dapat mencegah terjadinya medication error yaitu dengan menerapkan prinsip 6 benar pemberian obat yang meliputi benar pasien, benar obat, benar dosis, benar waktu, benar rute dan benar pendokumentasian. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui gambaran perawat dalam menerapkan prinsip 6 benar pemberian obat di RSUD Muara Teweh. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif observasional yang menggunakan lembar observasi pemberian obat. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang perawat yang dipilih dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Dan analisa penelitian ini menggunakan distribusi frekuensi. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian gambaran pemberian 6 benar obat dari 30 responden yang dilakukan di RSUD Muara Teweh pada bulan Mei 2023 dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil kepatuhan prinsip pemberian 6 benar obat yaitu 17 (56,7%) orang perawat tidak patuh, dan 13 (43,3%) orang perawat patuh. Mayoritas ketidakpatuhan perawat ialah pada langkah Benar Waktu. Kesimpulan: Tingkat kepatuhan perawat RSUD Muara Teweh terkait penerapan prinsip 6 benar dalam pemberian obat mayoritas tidak patuh.
